These gouache paintings were done on-site in the Boston Public Garden—America’s first public botanical garden and one of my favorite places to paint. The garden is full of winding paths, a serene pond, and century-old trees with distinct forms and textures. There’s always something happening—changing light, shifting colors, people passing through. Painting there allows me to capture the energy of the space in real time. It’s peaceful, dynamic, and full of inspiration at every turn.
